Turbulent Flow around An Immersed Sphere

We are developing immersed boundary methods for turbulent flows. The primary objective of the research is to develop a variationally consistent and stable formulation to impose the Dirichlet boundary conditions on the surface of immersed objects. The residual-based turbulence model is incorporated in the formulation for performing Large Eddy Simulation (LES). The domain is discretized using the stabilized Finite Elements.
