This test case shows blood flow in patient-specific aortic and femoral arteries. The geometrical model of arteries is constructed based on computerized tomography (CT) scan images. Blood is modeled as shear-rate dependent non-Newtonian fluid, specifically using the Carreau-Yasuda model. No-slip boundary conditions on the rigid arterial walls are weakly imposed. The computational method can provide numerical data such as viscosity and WSS that is a factor of vascular disease but difficult to obtain via in vivo experiments.
